Line Design

Line Design

This term at Uni I’m working with lino printing, which is where you carve out a design into the lino, roll ink onto it and then print it. In the background of the picture is one of the linos that I have carved. So this is what inspired the technique I used to do these nails. I painted my nails lavender first and then waited for it to dry completely. Then with a toothpick ready I painted a nail with an aqua green colour and while still wet I used the tooth pick to scrape off the polish to reveal the lavender, like carving into lino. I just did some random lines for each nail and I think it turned out really well!
